Rediff India has a new interview with Shabana Azmi. When she sets out on a pontificatory rant, her voice comes through loud and clear. The Rediff interview is not quite as good as this one, published by AsiaSource a few years ago, which I highly recommend as an introduction to Shabana's fascinating blend of arrogant pride and humble self-awareness. What I wouldn't give to sit down for a little chai-vai with this woman!
